Bubble The Ami

by Mary’s Amiland, July 2016

I always say that I’m back to childhood thanks to amigurumi. Bubble is born from a sketch of mine where I gave freedom to my fantasy. She was supposed to be a monster but she turned out to be a sweet weird thing instead. She has also a fiancĂ© that I will make one of these days…

Bubble has given me the opportunity to experiment a bit, I crocheted the body and the legs as one piece using a different technique than my usual way. I tried puffy eyes and spent countless hours on her tiny mouth. I made the thumbs as I crocheted the hands, I discovered that it is much fun than attaching them later. At the end I thought something was missing so I added a pair of curls on the top of her head.
For a small project so many things to try, don’t you think? I love my weird thing!

    1. Thank you, I must admit that it was quite fun to work on something out of the scheme. I think I will make some other in the future so Bubble will not stay alone :)
